The Cookson Company, Inc. StormDefender Model Roll-Up Overhead Doors

The structural components of a roll-up door consist generally of a “curtain” door panel (horizontal steel slats) plus edge guides (left-side and right-side vertical guides affixed to appropriately designed building elements) that support the curtain door panel.
  • Doors are available in 1/16” size increments (both horizontal and vertical).
  • Material options are certified structural carbon steel or stainless steel (304 /316).
  • Edge guides are mounted to steel, concrete or masonry (filled CMU) jambs, located either inside or outside the building.

  • Head Plates or Brackets (Supports the Shafts)
    • (An identifying Job No. is stamped on these brackets for product traceability)
  • Operator (a drive mechanism to lift (open) or lower (close) a door)
