These systems are intended for use in the types of separations for which they are qualified in the listed design.
Systems are installed, unless otherwise noted, in accordance with the Manufacturer's Installation Instructions or Design Manual.
Penetrating items must be supported as required by applicable codes on both sides of the fire barrier. Listed Firestop systems that include support for the penetrating item indicate the supporting element in the listing. Such items are not evaluated for their load carrying capacity during the fire resistance test.
