) and SpecSeal® SSC Intumescent Collar Inserts
SpecSeal® Series SSW Wrap Strips are used for firestopping combustible penetrants such as plastic pipes, conduits, or tubes. The highly flexible, intumescent wrap strips are furnished in rolls and cut as required to accommodate various sizes of penetrating items. Firestop systems were developed for tuck-in applications (where strips are secured around the pipe and slid into opening) and restaining collar assemblies (for surface mounting). Wrap strip systems are field assembled and installed.
SpecSeal® SSC Intumescent Collars contain an Intumescent insert comprised of the same wrap strip composition as the SpecSeal® Series SSW Wrap Strips. The SpecSeal® SSC Intumescent Collars are used to firestop plastic pipe penetrations through fire-rated barriers. SpecSeal® SSC Intumescent Collars are factory-assembled and sized to fit the specific trade size of plastic pipe.
