Ceiling damper types CFD-5W, CFD-5(A)W or CFDR for horizontal installation in air duct outlets of fire resistand ceilings. For use in conjunction with Lay-In diffusers. These assemblies consist of a ceiling damper and thermal blanket insulation to be used over the back of the Lay-In diffuser.
NOTE: Damper Types CFD and CFDR may be followed with a suffix 'A' denoting use of an adjustable fusible link assembly on a 6" x 6" or 6" diameter or larger size ceiling damper.
The thermal blanket used with the CFD-5(A)W or CFDR-(A)W damper/blanket assembly is formed as shown in Figures 36 and 37. The blanket strip shown in Figures 38 and 39 is supplied with the blankets when required per the installation instructions.
