The T-Rite Floor/Shower Drain assembly consists of a PVC floor/shower drain and pipe that uses an oversized metal extension penetrating a fire-rated floor assembly. Intumescent material contained between the encasing metal extension and the PVC drain pipe expands under fire to constrict and seal the opening to resist the passage of flames through the floor penetration.
