- Single or pair (same direction) configurations
- Non-temperature rise rated doors (TRR exceeding 650°F at 20 minutes), provided with 2 pcf maximum density batt-type insulation in the voids between stiffeners
- Maximum temperature rise rating – 450°F at 30 minutes
- Astragal required for TRR pairs exceeding 8’ in width or 10’ in height
- For use in welded frame product described below only
FRAMES
- 12, 14, or 16 gage welded frames and transom frames
- Maximum fire-protection rating – 1-1/2 hours
- Constructed in accordance with the individual manufacturer’s listings or HMMA 861
- Maximum nominal door width – 5’ singles, 10’ pairs (same direction)
- Maximum combined nominal door/transom opening height – 12’
- Transom opening may be provided with:
- 1-3/4” thick hollow metal panels constructed as detailed in the individual manufacturer’s listings or utilizing the door construction indicated above to a maximum height of 4’ or
- In-fill panels constructed in accordance with UL Subject 63, or
- Listed glazing materials, within the size, area, and fire-protection rating limitations of the glazing material to be installed
- Jamb, head, and mullion profiles in accordance with UL Subject 63
- Welded anchorage to suit wall conditions, for masonry, stud and existing masonry/concrete partitions, in accordance with the individual manufacturer’s listings, HMMA 850 or 861
- Installation in accordance with the recommended installation practices presented in NFPA 80, “Fire Doors and Windows”, NAAMM/HMMA 840, “Guide Specifications for Installation of Hollow Metal Doors and Frames”, and NAAMM/HMMA850, “Fire-Rated Hollow Metal Doors and Frames”
- Splices may be provided in jambs, heads, and mullions for field welding
