The modular units are constructed of three components: bearing walls, non-bearing walls, and floor/ceiling units. Each component has been rated according to ASTM E 119. 2 Hour non-loadbearing and bearing walls are constructed of a core of 2 layers of gypsum board surrounded by mineral fiber insulation. They are faced with 11 GA steel, are rated for four hours.
