Maximum throat size for all frames is 18 inches.  For throats over 13 inches thick, two anchors are required at each anchoring location as specified in the manufacturing section of this Listing.  Frames with a throat over 13 inches must be fully grouted for 3 hour fire resistance applications.  Grouting is optional for 90 minutes or less fire resistance applications (masonry or drywall walls) for frames with a throat over 13 inches.

This category includes frames based on UL-63 and includes sidelight/transom assemblies. These frames are qualified for use in positive pressure assemblies, with Category A doors, or with Category B doors utilizing Category G edge-sealing systems. These frames, when installed in pairs in drywall construction, shall have anchors installed in the head section, minimum 24" on center. These listings will not reference specific door types, as all door types are eligible.

All frames in this category are identified by a label or marking bearing the wording, "Listed Fire Door Frame", and the Warnock Hersey Certification Mark. Frames rated at less than 3 hours will have a time interval noted on the label/marking.
