Fire Rock Models Rumford Series 30, 36, 42, 48 Solid Fuel Factory Built Fireplace Company: Fire Rock Products LLC

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Product Solid Fuel Factory-Built Fireplaces
Brand Name Fire Rock
Description Fire Rock Rumford Series fireplaces are modular refractory masonry units designed for field assembly.  The assembly is built on a structurally adequate non-combustible base.  The units consist of interlocking pre-cast parts which fit together using a temperature resistant mortar supplied with the units.  The system includes all parts necessary for the assembly of a complete firebox, smoke dome, and chimney assembly.  Alternately, the chimney may be substituted with a listed factory-built chimney tested to 1700°F.  The parts of the system are cast using a mixture consisting predominantly of volcanic pumice aggregate.  Each piece is designed for a specific part of the fireplace such that only one means for complete assembly is possible.  A pumice top plate is installed at the smoke dome top, and either supports the Fire Rock chimney blocks or may be fitted with an adapter for installing a listed factory-built chimney.  The fire chamber is lined with 1-1/4-in-thick firebrick.  Once assembled, the exterior may be finished with stucco, brick veneer, or enclosed with combustible construction.
The Lite-Rock installation consists of two 1.5-in thick layers of Skamotec 225 insulation board placed directly beneath the base plate of the fireplace.  This will allow the fireplace to be installed onto a combustible floor.

The LIV-LITE Chimney System is to be used on models 30, 36, 42, and 48 Fire Rock Fireplaces.

These fireplaces are approved for use with Ciment Fondu and Secar 41 refractory cements for all construction components.  Refractory comprised of Ciment Fondu with 25% recycled refractory material added can be used for the smoke chamber components only.
