Craig Industries Insulated Cooler Panels Company: Craig Industries, Inc.

The Insulated Panels are 4 inch composite panels used for walk in coolers.  The panels are constructed with 26 gauge galvalume or painted steel exteriors and an injected polyurethane foam core.  Male and female cam locks imbedded in foam rails join panels to form a room.  Rubber gaskets are used on the male end of panels to form a tight seal between panels.

The components of the assembly consisted of the following materials:
- 4”  BASF Polyurethane insulation core
- Double barrel PVC panel gaskets
- 26 gauge galvalume metal skins at various panel widths

All panels except for the corner panel are 8’ tall.  The corner panel had a 3” X 12” panel insert on the top.
 
All joints and corners in the room were sealed to an airtight condition using a customer supplied gasket affixed in two rows on the ends of the panels, connecting the wall and ceiling panels.  3 inch wide X 8 foot long metal strips coated on the panel facing side with TPR 2 Fireshell covered all the joints on ceiling.  2-1/4 by 2-1/4 inch angles coated on the panel facing side with TPR 2 Fireshell were attached along top of panels.  Three-quarter inch long self drilling screws spaced 16 inches on center were used to attach both angles and strips. 
 
Final inside dimensions of the clients’ system were 8 foot tall, 8 foot wide and 8 feet deep.
Final inside dimensions of test assembly was 8 foot tall, 8 foot wide and 12 foot deep.
