Evaluated to the following:
Products listed in this section are rated for design load and optional impact resistance. Design load ratings are in pounds-force (lbf.) and may include multiple ratings related to the door stiffness classification. Impact resistance, when shown, is listed in terms of impact energy in foot-pounds (ft.-lbs.) derived from the missile impact requirements specified in ASTM-E1996. To determine acceptable application, calculate the expected force on the latching component based on the required opening design pressure and tributary area that the component restrains. Compare this load to the load rating of the component and verify that the component rating equals or exceeds the required value. Where impact rating is required verify that the latching component has the required impact energy level rating. Note: Latching components for out swinging doors generally do not require an impact rating since the frame stops and not the latch provide the support for the door in this configuration.
