Category B Doors – Additional Edge-Sealing System Required
Category "B" Wood Composite Core, swinging door for use in 20 through 90 minute positive pressure assemblies. The door may be installed in any “Category C Standard Frames” or in any “Category C Proprietary Frames” in accordance with the frame manufacturer’s individual listing(s). The cavities (jambs and head) of the hollow metal frames shall be completely filled with grout where this product is installed. A surface applied Category G intumescent edge seal system is required around the entire perimeter of the door and frame.
Category A Doors – No Additional Edge-Sealing System Required
Category "A" Wood Composite Core, swinging door for use in 20 through 90 minute positive pressure assemblies. The door may be installed in the Architectural Stairways 20 through 90 minute positive pressure “Category C Proprietary Frames” fire door frame (see Spec ID No. 29216) in accordance with the listing.
