1" Thick Fireguard Shaftliner and Dens-Glass Ultra Shaftliner
1" thick, Shaft Liner™, Type 'X', a gypsum backerboard product used in shaftwalls, stairwalls, ducts, area separation walls and corridor ceilings.
For use in special non bearing, STC rated, fire rated and lateral load resistant partition assemblies. Typical assemblies may also include one or more layers of other gypsum board for ratings and to provide a support base for a finished surface. Special assemblies such as shaftwalls are erected and finished on one side only. Stair Well Walls and Area Separation Walls are usually finished on both sides. Some special Area Separation Walls using a ¾” minimum thick air space from structural wood or metal framing do not require finishing of the Shaftliner surface.
