Horizontal Rolling Steel Fire and Smoke Shutter for installation in 2 hour locations in masonry or concrete openings or attached to steel beams, provided that the steel beams and the steel supporting members are either completely encased in concrete or completely coated with listed fireproofing material. May be installed with approved smoke seal.

*The AHJ may approve "oversize" doors with no size limitation based on an oversized certificate/label that states the door supplied is constructed in accordance with the certified design except for the size.

Building Codes currently do not address the use of fire rated barriers in horizontal openings other than fire rated floor doors evaluated per NFPA 288. However, in some situations where the installation or availability make the use of such products impractical, horizontal fire and smoke control barriers may be an acceptable alternative. Intertek has successfully tested and evaluated the listed product to NFPA 252, UL 10B with hose stream and CAN/ULC S104 with the fire and smoke control rated barrier tested in a horizontal orientation. AHJ's should be consulted to determine the acceptability of these products.
