McKEON FireFighter^® Model D200 and D200E Curtain Assemblies are for use as fire and smoke barrier curtain assemblies when installed in a 3-hour steel stud/gypsum, gypsum-protected CLT (see limitations below), or masonry wall. Model D200 assemblies may contain curtain overlaps. Model D200E assemblies may contain overlaps and/or passage doors sealed with a hook & loop fastener. See below for ratings and limitations.

^bA pair of two-inch brushes are required at the head of the curtain to meet air leakage ratings, a single one-inch brush at each side guide is optional based on test results. Brushes must be listed & labeled for fire applications.

*Assemblies exceeding these dimensions must have an oversize label, issued by Intertek, stating the assembly is constructed in accordance with the certified design except for size. Acceptance of the oversize assembly is at the discretion of the Authority Having Jurisdiction.

INSTALLATION LIMITATIONS
Assemblies may be installed in gypsum with structural steel stud, masonry, or gypsum-protected Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) walls. When installed in gypsum-protected CLT walls, the following conditions apply:

Supporting CLT wall must be fire-resistance-rated in accordance with the code.
Noncombustible protection shall be in accordance with the code, but not less than:
- Two layers of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum per face for walls required to have a fire-resistance rating of 2 hours or less.
- Three layers of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum per face for walls required to have a fire-resistance rating of 3 hours or more.
Assemblies bearing a fire-protection rating of 90 minutes or less shall be designed with an additional sacrificial 1 inch of anchorage embedment depth or be through-bolted.
Assemblies bearing a fire-protection rating of 2 or 3 hours shall use through-bolted anchorage.
