CSA A277 Rated Factory Built Buildings

When completely assembled, the units are equipped with all typical facilities to connect to municipal plumbing, gas and electrical services.
CSA A277* Rated Factory Built Commercial/Industrial Relocatable Structures
The factory built transportable modules specifically designed to be readily relocatable and usable without permanent foundations, are constructed at the Guerdon Enterprises / Palomar Modular Buildings, LLC. manufacturing facility and transported to the intended site.
When completely assembled the units provide accommodation for an industrial work force living and working in a temporary location, and meet the requirements of Alberta Building Code Division B Part 10 Relocatable Industrial Accommodation and/or similar structures built in compliance with the National Building Code of Canada as provincially amended and other provincial building codes.
The units are constructed in one (or more) sections, which are connected at the building site. The units are used as field offices, construction camp facilities, shops used in conjunction with industrial construction, mobile equipment and other temporary commercial or industrial buildings. When welded steel structures form part of the structure of these units, the manufacturer will be required to obtain Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification to the requirements of CSA W47.1 standard.
This certification program does not include:
- Modular or manufactured mobile homes;
- Vehicular lighting or brake wiring systems;
- Verifications of Fire Alarm System, Sprinkler System and Fire Suppression Systems;
- Validation and balancing of heating, air-conditioning & ventilation systems and plumbing systems, including potable water systems;
- The 6 or l2V battery operated system for clearance lights etc. which is entirely separate from the l20V system (under the jurisdiction of the Departments of Highways of the various Provinces)
The Intertek WHI mark warrants the proper installation at the plant and adherence to necessary local codes of all structural, plumbing and electrical services and intends to circumvent the necessity to inspect, by local authorities, the above mentioned services. The WHI mark does not cover site connections to municipal services, other units or site mounting features.
