Product Description
5000 Series Door/Frame Assemblies. Doors & Frames shall be manufactured from minimum 12 gauge galvanized steel sheet. Corners shall be welded and ground smooth. Doors shall be minimum of 1-3/4" from front to back. For installation in 3/4 hour locations in steel/wood stud drywall or masonry openings. Transoms and Sidelights can be Legacy 175 Window joined with mullions.
Limitations
Mortise or cylinder lockset, surface mounted rim exit device for single point latching. Standard pairs three point latching; mortise, cylinder, fire exit devices, surface mounted vertical rod, concealed vertical rod standard pair, double egress pairs require 4-point latching and astragals.

Door and frame assemblies constructed as described in this procedure meet the requirements for both positive and neutral pressure fire tests, UL 10C, NFPA 252, and CAN/ULC S104 including the hose stream. Minimum 4-point latching and astragals required for all pairs.
Labeled door and frame assemblies must include installation instructions furnished by the door and frame assembly manufacturer. Unless otherwise noted in the door and frame assembly installation instructions, all smoke/draft control gasketing used in the assembly are to be installed in accordance with their respective manufacturer’s instructions.
