Steelcraft 20-180 Minute "L" Series Hollow Metal Fire Doors Company: Steelcraft Manufacturing / Schlage Lock Company LLC

Steel Covered Hollow Metal Type (14, 16, 18, 20 gauge) (Paper Honeycomb or Combination Paper Honeycomb/Polystyrene Filled) ('L' Series*), Swinging Flush Design Fire Door for installation singly or in pairs including double egress in up to 3 hour locations.
*Embossed panel door designs may be called 'L' Series or 'CE' Series doors. Doors with square hinge and/or lock edges may be identified as 'SL' or 'SZ' Series. Doors manufactured as 'L' Series for storm resistant applications may be identified as 'H' Series. 'L' Series door construction is also used for 'RL' Series doors and may be identified as such. Dutch doors are fabricated in accordance with 'L' Series requirements.
Limitations:
Active Leaf - Single Point Latch or Fire Exit Hardware.
Inactive Leaf - Surface or Mortised Top and Bottom Bolts/Surface Mounted on Concealed Vertical Rod Fire Exit Hardware/14, 16, 18 gauge doors can incorporate an Open-Back Strike/Power supply to electric lock is by way of electric hinge or power transfer unit/Open-Back Strike on one leaf used in conjunction with a listed single point latch or fire exit hardware on the opposing leaf/Listed Surface Mounted or Concealed Vertical Rod Fire Exit Hardware or Self- Latching or Automatic Flush Bolts are required on leaf in which the open-back strike is mounted.
Astragal required on 3 hour pairs and is optional on 1-1/2 hour pairs.
Louvers - 24" x 30" maximum, but not permitted on doors with glass lights.
When each door leaf of a standard swing pair is equipped with listed concealed or surface mounted vertical rod fire exit hardware the maximum rating shall be 1-1/2 hours and the astragal shall be omitted. Double Egress pairs for a maximum of 1-1/2 hours may have the astragal omitted.
Dutch Design Doors are limited to a single swing with the use of a single point latch in both door leaves. Top Lock may latch into strike jamb or into the top of the bottom leaf.  As an alternate, a listed, self-latching flushbolt may be used in the bottom of the top leaf, to latch into the top of the bottom leaf. Astragal is required, 1/2 shelf is optional. Louvers are not permitted and glass light is limited to 100 sq.in.
