NOTE: Maximum 6'-0" wide by 7'-0" tall standard pair permitted for use with listed SVR/LBR 2 point latching (no thermal pin) with no metal edges for a 45 minute rating.
LIMITATIONS
Hardware – Cylindrical or mortise locks, card locks, surface mount hardware, mortise manual flushbolts, concealed vertical rod fire exit hardware, rim exit hardware, concealed closer, concealed hinge edge closers, concealed door stop, mortise automatic door bottoms, maximum 1296 sq. in. lights, 48 in. x 48 in maximum, surface plates, viewers, louvers installed below latch level, automatic flushbolts, mortise exit devices, raceways, electric power transfers, magnetic switches, electrical strikes, edge guards, mortised edge guards, astragals, dust box, pivot, continuous hinges and concealed or invisible hinges (UIP SOSS 218 or listed equivalent with equal or smaller cut-out) and lay-on or applied molding.
These doors are Category "A" doors (no additional edge sealing system is required). Doors labeled for positive pressure applications must include installation instructions to be furnished by the door labeler. Unless otherwise noted in the door's installation instructions all intumescent materials and smoke/draft control gasketing used in the assembly are to be installed per their respective manufacturer's instructions.
Doors used in positive pressure applications require the use of intumescent materials, smoke gasketing, or a combination thereof. Options include frame mounting the intumescent and/or smoke gasketing, mortising the intumescent into the door perimeter, concealing the intumescent with the stile(s), or a combination of these methods. The options available depend on the door's application and are described in the Stile and Rail section.
Doors labeled for positive pressure applications must include installation instructions to be furnished by the door labeler. Unless otherwise noted in the door's installation instructions, all intumescent materials and smoke/draft control gasketing used in the assembly are to be installed per their respective manufacturer's instructions.
These assemblies are eligible for Category B - Doors - Additional Edge-Sealing System Required. This category includes doors evaluated with an edge-sealing system (Category G) field-applied to the labeled frame or door. The application of the edge-sealing system does not require any machining of the frame or door. Please refer to "Category G - Edge-Sealing System" for individual manufacturer's listings.
These assemblies are eligible for use in any "Category C - Standard" frame. These doors may also be installed in frames listed in "Category C - Proprietary" in accordance with the frame manufacturer's individual listing.
All doors listed in Category B are eligible to bear the "S" (for Smoke & Draft Control assemblies) if a listed "Category H - Smoke & Draft Control Gasket" has been applied to the assembly. Please refer to Category H for individual gasket manufacturer's listings.
