FX Lumber Guard and FX Lumber Guard XT are clear fire-retardant penetrants intended to reduce the flammability of wood and wood products by penetrating the wood with fire retardants and by creating a barrier when exposed to flames. Once the penetrant is dry, the solids left behind become the barrier layer. Application is in one coat, to be applied at the designated rate of 300-350 square feet per gallon. The product can be field-applied or factory-applied by the approved applicators.
