MPI KY LLC 4080 Inswing FEMA Tornado Door Assembly is a tornado-resistant door and frame assembly for installation in storm shelter walls.
This listing is for wind pressure and impact resistance only. Fire resistance, when required by Section 603 of ICC 500-2020 or Section B6.2.3 of FEMA P-361 (2021), is outside the scope of this listing. Assemblies required to be fire-resistance-rated shall also bear the label of a separate fire listing to the applicable standard(s).
In accordance with Section 507.3 of ICC 500-2020, operating hardware located on the unprotected side of the assembly shall be not susceptible to unintended unlatching by debris impact. Once engaged for storm shelter use, such operating hardware shall be locked, disabled, or inactive. Compliance with this requirement shall be confirmed by the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
