The Smoke Guard M1000 systems consist of a fire rated filament glass fabric (SGTex-32 or SGTex-30) wound onto a rolling tube contained in a sheet metal housing. The curtain edges are captured in vertical steel side guides and the bottom edge of the curtain is attached to a steel weighted bottom bar. In the event of a fire, the system will gravity deploy when the fusible link in the housing is exposed to a temperature of 165 deg F. After the fire event, the system will need to be inspected by a qualified technician, and can be manually retracted with a hex head driver to replace the fusible link.
