CSA A277* Rated Factory Built Buildings - Structural / Building Envelope Aspects Only
The factory-built building envelope is constructed and assembled at the PTW Structural Solutions manufacturing facility located in Rocky View County, Alberta, and transported to the intended building site. The prefabricated structure is constructed around the existing piping or electrical equipment and shipped together at the building site when completed.
The certification applies to in-factory built and assembled prefabricated building envelope structure and all electrical and plumbing components attached to it, and comply with the requirements of the building code/regulation/standard that apply at the installation location.
The certification does not cover portions of buildings or services that are not completed in the factory, floor system, piping and electrical equipment housed, site connections to services, and transport of buildings or their erection at the building site.
The Intertek mark warrants an approved factory quality program and is intended to provide a means of verifying that the prefabricated portion of the building (the building envelope) which may include factory-installed electrical and plumbing systems, has been designed and built to meet or exceed the requirements of the appropriate building code or standards.
