The NOW-8000 MCM panels are used in a route-and-return rain screen system. The pan depth of the panels is 1 inch, and the interior side of the pan is secured to perimeter aluminum extrusions for tongue-in-groove installation, with allowances for thermal expansion and contraction. Flatness criteria may require aluminum stiffeners. Stiffeners and extrusions are mounted with double-sided foam tape and structural silicone sealant.
