BULLET RESISTANT DOOR & FRAME ASSEMBLY & RATINGS

The listed bullet resistant framing system and bullet resistant hollow metal doors are of reinforced cold rolled steel construction with 12-gauge door skins and 12-gauge frames. Assemblies are available singly or as pairs of doors.

The bullet resistant framing is also available for use with glazing that is independently certified to UL 752, equal to the assembly rating. Glazed applications may be fixed windows, transom windows, or sidelights in door assemblies. Fixed windows may contain a vertical or horizontal mullion.  Glazed applications must have the glazing and applied stop on the attack side of the frame.  All conditions of the glazing's certification listing must be adhered to.

Door and Frame Assemblies, (Outswing and Inswing doors), optionally with transom windows and/or sidelights.
Window Frame Assemblies, optionally with horizontal or vertical mullion.

Limitations:
Doors are available as inswinging or outswinging with frames specifically reinforced for each condition. 

Pair Doors are required to have full length factory applied steel astragal, minimum size of 1/4" thick x 2" wide. 

Typical 2" face-width jambs and header, single or double rabbet, frame throat 3.5" to 14”, with integral frame stop (min. size 5/8" H x 1" W).  Jambs & header face width may range from 1" to 6”. Mullion face width may range from 1" to 6". 

Door hinges are to be Listed fire-rated ferrous or non-ferrous hinges that meet the  requirements of NPFA 80, Butt hinges per ANSI/ BHMA A156.1; Pivot hinges per ASNI/BHMA A156.4; or Continuous Hinges per ANSI/BHMA A156.26.

Door Vision Panel Kits: Listed with ballistic rating to UL 752 (Level 1,2,3) equal to assembly rating may be placed in doors.

Glazing:  Glazing used in vision panels shall be listed with an independent ballistic rating to UL 752 (Level 1, 2, 3) equal to assembly rating. Glazing is to be factory installed.
 
Minimum size for labeled glazing is 12" x 12" within door vision panels.  Maximum size and all other conditions per the glazing and light kit framing listings apply. 

Installation must result in gaps between doors and frames that are not greater than 1/8 inch. 

The Certified products within this listing are ballistic rated doors, door frames, and window frames. 

Latching hardware, hanging hardware, anchoring, and glazing components are not certified products within this listing.  Hardware and glazing is required to be listed separately.
