Description |
Materials: Cast iron
Dimensions: 29-in wide x 26-in high x 24-in deep
Air Induction: Primary and secondary air enter the unit through a single opening in the bottom. Primary air is channeled up both sides of the front loading door to a manifold positioned horizontally above the door opening. The amount of primary air is manually controlled with a handle located above the ash lip at the unit front. The amount of secondary air is automatically temperature-regulated via a bimetal coil actuating a closure at an air inlet at the back of the stove. It is channeled to enter the firebox through orificed tubes mounted across the firebox top below the flame baffle. Unburned exhaust gas is directed through a catalytic combustor into an insulated chamber before passing into the chimney flue.
Internal Baffles: A flame baffle is mounted at the firebox top.
Catalytic Combustion Element: Applied Ceramics .250 Custom 158000
Exhaust Combustion Chamber: Vermiculite refractory panel
Kaowool 900, and Unifrax blankets
Firebox lining: 4.5 x 9 x 1.5-in firebrick line the firebox sides and back. The hearth contains an integral cast-iron slotted grate.
Other Features: The F500 V3 has a single out-swinging door for fueling at the unit front. The front door has a ceramic glass inset. The F500 V3 also has a cast iron fueling door at the unit left side. There is a removable ash pan mounted below the slotted grate. An optional rear heat shield is available for reduced clearance installation, as well as an optional convection air blower.
Flue Outlet: A 6-in diameter flue collar is mounted at the top/rear of the unit. The collar outlet is reversable to allow vertical or horizontal chimney connection. |

For freestanding (non-alcove) installations on combustible floors, the area beneath the unit, 18-in (450-mm) to the front, and 8-in (200-mm) to each side of the fuel loading doors must be covered with non-combustible floor protection. The optional bottom shield need not be used. For alcove installations, the area 18-in (450-mm) to the front and 8-in (200-mm) to each side of the front fuel loading door must be covered with non-combustible floor protection with an insulative R-value of 1.6. This insulated protection must also be used beneath the appliance if the optional bottom heat shield is not used. Alternately, a listed floor protection system may be used.
