SAFTI FIRST SuperClear 45 HS/HS LI Fire Rated Glazing (Windows)

SuperClear 45 HS/ SuperClear 45 HS LI: Glazing unit for use in Steel Frames and Listed Aluminum Frames for Sidelights/Transom Lights and Borrowed Lights, in 45-minute locations.
Allowances:
1) Patterns, Opaque, or Tints may be applied to one side of the glazing by
- Applying a maximum 8 mil (0.008") thick film
- Sandblasting/acid etching the surface
2) 1/8" high x 1-1/2" wide x 3" long Calcium Silicate or Hardwood setting blocks must be used at quarter points under the bottom edge; and 1/8" thick x 3/4" wide, closed cell foam glazing tape is required on all edges (on both faces) or listed fire-rated glazing tape is required around the perimeter of the glazing on both sides of the glazing such that it is approved for fire-rated durations equal to or greater than the respective glazing product it is used with.
3) Exterior glazing composed of an additional laminate or tempered glazing layer, including an additional insulation glazing panel.

Limitations:
Listed 1/16” thick x 1/2” high PVC Foam Tape is required around the perimeter of the glazing on both sides of the glazing with SuperClear 45 HS and SuperClear 45 HS LI such that it is approved for fire-rated durations equal to or greater than the respective glazing product it is used with. 1/8” thick x 3/4” wide setting block required at bottom of glazing between the glazing material and the frame.

NOTE: In regard to the SuperClear 45 HS/HS LI Glazing Unit, this listing is in regard to fire resistance only.
Manufacturer's Instructions
Listed maximum sizes of glazing are based on sizes tested and may exceed those allowed by local codes. Dependent on the end use installation, local codes may require that additional criteria be met to address considerations such as radiant heat hazards and impact safety. Under such circumstances, the prior approval of the Authority Having Jurisdiction must be obtained unless conformance to relevant additional requirements is indicated within the individual listing.
Clearance between the edges if the glazing and the inside edge of the frame shall not exceed 1/8" unless otherwise noted in the individual listing or the manufacturer's installation instructions. All glazing is identified by an etched mark or label bearing the ETL Certification Mark.
