MetaFlex® Pro Undermount 2Hr Horizontal Fire Barrier:
The product is a fire barrier design for installation from the bottom of the concrete floor/ceiling and consists of the following layers (from top to bottom):
- 0.002” thick stainless steel foil
- Multiple layers of high temperature fiber insulation blanket
- 0.002” thick stainless steel foil
The horizontal fire barrier is mounted to the bottom of the concrete floor/ceiling assembly using 14 GA channel and mechanical fasteners. The flanges are also equipped with an intumescent strip for sealing to the concrete ceiling.
