The Firefly or FF 102-50 Fire Ventilated Fire Barrier Intumescent Seal is an ETL Recognized Component that is certified and approved to use in Intertek certfied, NFPA 285-rated, ACM panel systems installed over mineral wool insulation. It is a rigid high expansion intumescent strip encased in aluminum foil. The FF102-50 is mechanically fastened to supporting members for panel systems (such as girts) using min. 2-in. long screws, in the center of the strip, spaced 8 in. oc (on center). The strip is positioned around the perimeter of the window approximately 6 in. from the center of the strip to the edge of the window opening.
