Description |
The Large Flushwood is a solid fuel fireplace inserted designed to be installed in either a masonry fireplace or a factory-built fireplace. This unit is manufactured from sheet steel and cast iron with a front fueling door that incorporates a glass panel.
The Large Flushwood uses a hybrid combustion system with secondary air tubes below the baffle and a catalyst located above the baffle. |

FLOOR PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS
A non-combustible protective cover must be placed a minimum of 16-in (407 mm) (US) or 18-in (458 mm) (CAN) from the front and 8-in (204 mm) beyond both sides for the fueling door.
Masonry fireplace requirements:
Unit can be placed in a masonry fireplace with a clay liner or a stainless steel liner (positive connection)
Minimum chimney height – 15-ft, maximum chimney height – 33-ft
Masonry fireplace and chimney must meet local building requirements
Zero-Clearance fireplace requirements:
Unit can only be installed into the following fireplace manufacturers – Marco, Majestic, Heatilator, Preway, Tempco, Superior, Heat-N-Glo, Lennox, Martin, Monesson.
Fireplace and chimney must meet local building requirements.
Damper and grate must be removed from fireplace. Smoke shelf, baffles, screen, and doors may be removed if necessary. Chimney liner, insulation, or any structural components of the fireplace cannot be removed or altered to fit the unit.
