The Penrod Company 650 Kerf Gasket is recognized for use with Listed fire doors and frames that require the use of a Category H or J gasket. The gasket may be used
with steel or wood door frames and steel, wood or fiberglass faced fire doors. The gasket is for use on kerfed frames at the door and frame interface.
The gasket may also be used optionally on labeled fire doors and frames without affecting the fire resistance rating.
Doors and frames shall be installed per NFPA 80.
- Category H: Smoke & Draft Gasketing (UL 10C & UL 1784)
- Category J: Other Gasketing (UL 10C) - i.e. Acoustic Gasket, Weather Seal, etc. [no edge seal or smoke and draft properties].
The Penrod Company Corner Pad is recognized for use as Category J gasket at the bottom corner(s) of listed fire door frames. The pad(s) may be used without affecting the fire resistance rating. Doors and frames shall be installed per NFPA 80.
The Penrod Company 730 and 825 Kerf Gasket is recognized for use with Listed fire doors and frames that require the use of a Category J gasket. The gasket may be used
with steel or wood door frames and steel, wood or fiberglass faced fire doors. The gasket is for use on kerfed frames at the door and frame interface.
Doors and frames shall be installed per NFPA 80.
- Category J: Other Gasketing (UL 10C) - i.e. Acoustic Gasket, Weather Seal, etc. [no edge seal or smoke and draft properties].
