Product Description
Special-Lite SLI-12, SLI-14, and SLI-15 are interior glazed smoke and draft doors with an Omega frame assembly tested in accordance with UL 1784. The assembly utilizes a tubular aluminum door, Omega frame with integrated bulb edge seals incorporated in metal retainers and additional intumescent edge seal, and an adjustable bottom seal (Pemko 420_PKL) at the bottom of the door. The door is made of extruded aluminum cellular construction with snap in place aluminum glazing stop to the stile and rail frame components. Glazing units may be 1/4" tempered clear (as tested) or fired rated glazing with a vinyl bulb gasket applied on both sides of the glazing.
Note: All perimeter gaskets around the jambs and head of the frame, and the meeting edge seal of pairs, are supplied by Special-Lite. The Pemko 420_PKL automatic door bottom may be supplied by Special-Lite or the installer/client.

*This assembly was evaluated without an artificial bottom seal using the door bottom seals listed above. The assembly, utilizing an approved door bottom listed above, may be installed in areas where pressurization is provided to control smoke movement in accordance with Section 4.3.2 of NFPA 105 (2019) and for hoistway opening protection and lobby doorways as allowed in Chapter 30 of the 2018 IBC.
Doors and frames must be installed in accordance with NFPA 80 and NFPA 105.
