CSA Z240 RV* Series of Standards, Recreational Vehicles
The factory built vehicular-type structures constructed at the Tiny Homes, Inc. facility located in Didsbury, AB, are primarily designed to provide temporary living quarters for recreational, camping, travel, or seasonal use and have their own motive power or are mounted on or towed by other vehicles. The vehicular-type structures include Travel trailers, Fifth-wheel trailers, Camping trailers, Motor homes, Slide-in truck campers and Van conversions.
Recreational Vehicles in Canada must comply with all requirements of the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Act and the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Regulation as enforced by Transport Canada.
Intertek certification covers the General requirements, Safety, Vehicular, Plumbing, Gas, and Electrical aspects as stated by the CSA Z240 RV Series* Recreational Vehicles standard. The standard does not cover the structural aspects of the trailer.
The Intertek mark does not cover site connections to municipal services, other not certified units, or site mounting features.
The Intertek mark warrants an approved in-factory certification procedure applicable to the prefabricated vehicular-type structures, that complement and intends to circumvent the necessity to inspect by local authorities, the above mentioned aspects.
