PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

KS Series, Optimo, Designwall 4000, and Designwall 2000 Panels are metal faced, foam insulated wall panels for Wildland Urban Interface use per the California Building Code, Chapter 7A (SFM) Materials and Construction Methods for Wildfire Exposure.

The panels are secured with 12 GA stainless steel hidden fastener clips and ¼-14 HWH Tek 3 zinc coated self-drilling screws. For supports up to 0.25 in. thick use ¼-20 Tek 5 fasteners.

The KS Series and Optimo panels have a dual tongue and groove joint stacked one over the other and are formed with a “C” shaped ¼ inch diameter nosing. The interior joint is filled with a non-skinning butyl sealant or silicone sealant. As an option the exterior joint can also be filled with  sealant.  The panel thickness is minimum 2 in. The panel widths are minimum 24 in. The metal facings are painted mimimum 26 GA. steel on the interior face and minimum 26 GA. steel on the exterior face of the panel. The core of the panels consists of polyisocyanurate or Quadcore foam that is continuously poured-in-place between the metal facings.

Designwall 4000 panels have a dual tongue and groove “ship lap” joint. The exterior joint has an extruded wedge gasket in the exterior joint. The interior is sealed with butyl caulk.  The panels are produced in minimum thicknesses of 2 in. The panel widths are minimum 12 in. The metal facings are painted minimum 22 gauge steel on the exterior face of the building and painted minimum 24 gauge steel on the interior face.  The core of the panels consists of polyisocyanurate or Quadcore foam that is continuously poured-in-place between the metal facings.

Designwall 2000 panels have a dual tongue and groove “ship lap” joint.  The exterior joint has an extruded wedge gasket and the interior joint has an extruded rubber finned gasket. The panels are produced in a minimum thickness of 2 in.  The panel withs are minimum 12 in.  The metal facings are most painted minimum 22 gauge steel on the exterior face of the building and painted minimum 24 gauge steel on the interior face. The core of the panels consists of polyisocyanurate foam boards laminated to the metal facings using an adhesive.
