The Firefly 109 speaker cover (models FF109-FRSC and FF109-FRSCO) are a shell constructed of a mineral fiber-matrix which has an intumescent property. The product is designed to protect ceiling openings that are made to accommodate in-ceiling speakers in rated floor-ceiling construction. The product is placed over the in-ceiling speaker in the joist cavity of the ceiling. The product is dome-shaped and 330 mm diameter (I.D. at the opening). The product is produced with the outer coating finished in colors of slate grey and blue.
