Product Description
ModTrax Smoke and Draft Rated Door and Frame Assemblies are sliding door systems consisting of a flush wood (particleboard core) or a glazed aluminum door installed in a ModTrax aluminum extruded frame in accordance with UL 1784. The jambs and head of the frame are constructed from extruded aluminum. Pile gaskets are incorporated into the retainers of the frame between the door and frame interface on the door/valance side of the frame. Bulb gaskets are incorporated into the retainers of the frame between the frame and wall around the entire perimeter of the frame on the door/valance side of the frame. Two strips of single fin flap gasket are incorporated into the retainers of the frame between the leading edge of the door and the frame. Pemko S773 is applied to the trailing edge of the door between the door and trim of the frame and a ModTrax ADBG-1 automatic door bottom is utilized at the bottom of the door. A door vinyl glazing seal is required on each side of the glazing around the entire perimeter of the glazing (when present).
Note: All gaskets listed above are supplied by ModTrax with the exception of the Pemko S773, which may be supplied by ModTrax or the installer/client. The door vinyl glazing seal and glazing is supplied by the aluminum door manufacturer as part of their completed assembly.
An "S" label applied to the frame shall cover both the frame and door when the following requirements are met:

* This assembly was tested without an artificial bottom seal using the ModTrax ADBG-1 automatic door bottom. The assembly, utilizing the ModTrax ADBG-1 automatic door bottom, may be installed in areas where pressurization is provided to control smoke movement in accordance with Section 4.3.2 of NFPA 105 (2019) and for hoistway opening protection and lobby doorways as allowed in Chapter 30 of the IBC.
