CSA A277* Rated Factory Built Buildings (Electrical and Plumbing Features Only)
The factory-built units are constructed at Artspan Inc. manufacturing facility located in Winkler, MB and transported to the intended building site. When completely assembled, the units are equipped to connect to electrical services. The prefabricated units constructed in one (or more) sections, are joined together at the building site.
The electrical and plumbing features only certification applies to in-factory built prefabricated buildings, modules, and panels, provided they comply with the requirements of the building code/regulation/standard that apply at the installation location. The certification covers the electrical and plumbing features only on buildings of any occupancy.
The certification does not cover electrical and plumbing installations or services that are not completed in the factory, site connections to municipal services, and transport of units at the building site.
The Intertek mark warrants an approved factory quality program and is intended to provide a means of verifying that the electrical and plumbing features only of the prefabricated portion of a building, module, or panel, have been designed and installed to meet or exceed the requirements of the appropriate building code or standards.
