The factory-built panels are constructed at the Axe Buildings, Inc. (BN: Axe Living) - manufacturing facility located in Thorold, ON and transported to the intended building site. When completely assembled, the panels are equipped with all mechanical and electrical components. The prefabricated panels are connected at the building site.

The certification applies to in-factory built prefabricated panels constructed of any material provided they comply with the requirements of the building code/regulation/standard that apply at the installation location and covers buildings of any occupancy.

The certification does not cover portions of buildings or services that are not completed in the factory, site connections to industrial or municipal services, and transport of panel packages, or panels’ erections, at the building site.

The Intertek mark warrants an approved in-factory certification procedure, applicable to prefabricated buildings, modules, and manufactured homes that complement the required on-site inspection and testing. Intertek mark also assures the proper fabrication at the plant and adherence to all necessary local codes including structural, plumbing, gas, heating and electrical services and intends to circumvent the necessity to inspect by local authorities the above mentioned services. The Intertek mark does not cover site connections to municipal services, other not certified units, or site mounting features.
