CSA A277* Rated Factory Built Buildings
The factory-built units are constructed by Siemens Energy Canada Limited, Applied Modern Systems Integrated Inc. (AMSI Inc.) manufacturing facility in Beamsville, ON and transported to the intended building site. When completely assembled, the units are equipped with all normal facilities to connect to municipal or industrial site mechanical and electrical services. The prefabricated units constructed in one (or more) sections, are set onto the building's foundation or superstructure, and connected at the building site.
The certification covers in-factory built prefabricated buildings, and partially or fully enclosed modules for buildings of any occupancy, provided the professional involvement per local regulations is assured.
The certification does not cover portions of buildings or services that are not completed in the factory, site connections to industrial or municipal services, and transport of buildings or their erections at the building site.
The Intertek mark warrants an approved factory quality program and is intended to provide a means of verifying that the prefabricated portion of a building, module, or panel, which may include factory-installed structural, mechanical, heating, and electrical systems, has been designed and built to meet or exceed the requirements of the appropriate building code or standards.
